Unblinding Proposal

We propose to apply the aforementioned unbinned method to the 2006 data to search for extraterrestrial point sources of neutrinos. The search will be conducted identically to the search performed on 2005:

Search Based on a List of Candidate Sources

For a list of candidate sources, the significance and Feldman-Cousins 90% confidence level upper limit will be calculated. We propose to use the IC9 source candidate list.

Full-Sky Search

For a fine grid of 0.25 ° x 0.25 °, the likelihood function will be evaluated. The region of zenith > 175 ° will be left blind for WIMP searches. The point with highest significance will be compared against randomized data to determine the final significance of the observation.
