Details on 2005 OM/File Selection
Details on 2005 Data Filtering

Summary of 2005 Filtering

The 2005 data filtering is similar to the 2000-2003 Zeuthen filtering, with two major exceptions:

The upward-muon filtering cuts

L1Zenith(JAMS) > 70
L2Zenith(DW) > 80
L3Zenith(32-fold Pandel) > 80

Events from other streams (e.g. WIMP) which reconstruct with Zenith(32-fold Pandel) > 80 are added to the L3 upward-muon sample. For more details, see the Sieglinde steering file.

2005 Passing Rate

Livetime (after file selection)199.29 days
Total L3 Events (after file selection)5.21M

The excess of L3 events, compared to 2004, is mostly from WIMP stream events which reconstruct with Zenith(32-fold Pandel) > 80. Explicitly excluding these events results in a passing rate comparable to 2004.

Comparison to 2004

Comparison plots show no major differences between 2004 and 2005 L3 data.
