Data SampleDetails on 2005 Data Filtering Summary of 2005 FilteringThe 2005 data filtering is similar to the 2000-2003 Zeuthen filtering, with two major exceptions:
The upward-muon filtering cuts
Events from other streams (e.g. WIMP) which reconstruct with Zenith(32-fold Pandel) > 80 are added to the L3 upward-muon sample. For more details, see the Sieglinde steering file. The 2005 L3 Upward-Muon SampleLocation
2005 Fit Numbering (F2K)
2005 Passing Rate
The excess of L3 events, compared to 2004, is mostly from WIMP stream events which reconstruct with Zenith(32-fold Pandel) > 80. Explicitly excluding these events results in a passing rate comparable to 2004. Comparison to 2004Comparison plots show no major differences between 2004 and 2005 L3 data. |
