A conference call will be initiated at the IceCube HQ at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. All participants connect to the conference by phoning into a prearranged number with an access code. The cost associated with participating is the cost of a phone call to Madison, Wisconsin, USA.
In general we can not guarantee the sound quality when talking to the South Pole. To compensate for this we recommend a good quality speaker phone be used with the ability to mute the microphone. When the South Pole is talking it is recommended that everyone else mute their microphones to reduce feedback on the phone line.
To participate a group requires a good speaker phone, with the ability to mute the microphone and the ability to call Madison Wisconsin. The IceCube contact person will want to verify functionality of the equipment with a phone call before the interview day.
