
Forty-four IceCube personnel are now at Pole. Cargo deliveries continue and IceCube staff continues to work with Raytheon staff to optimize cargo delivery and logistics. The snow trailer for snow removal and snow management is operational and in use.
Flights to South Pole Station plan for this week was 27 vs. actual of 26.
Flights to South Pole Station season plan to date is 61 vs. actual of 63. Shuttle van service is scheduled to be in operation 11/27.
Four members of the National Science Board (NSB) and Scott Borg were at the South Pole Station for review of science sites, discussion of IceCube and SPT. Tom Gaisser spoke to the members about the IceCube project and the IceTop array.
The Mobile Drill Structures were located from the winter storage berm to the Seasonal Equipment Site (SES) and water, fuel, and electrical power supply lines are being routed and connected. The SES is a construction area at this point and hard hats and proper Personal Protective Equipment is required.

Twenty IceTop tanks have been uncrated. The tanks are being relocated to an area grid east of the SES near the IceTop weather port for sunshade assembly. Freeze Control Units have arrived and the process of removing them in preparation for retro shipment to Bartol should begin early next week.
Surface Cables are now located grid east of the Ice Cube Laboratory (ICL). Many of the ICL DAQ cabinets have arrived and are also being located in this area in preparation for installation. AMANDA integration continues as does testing of the Data Acquisition System. RPSC reports the construction remodeling work for the IceCube Lab is on schedule for the Conditional Occupancy date of December 8th.
